This orthodontic system allows patients to straighten teeth discreetly and without the discomfort of traditional metal braces.
Description
Invisalign uses a series of clear, plastic aligners to gradually shift the teeth into the proper position and alignment. Patients wear sets of custom-created upper and lower aligners, which put gentle force on the teeth to move them slowly to where they need to be. After a few weeks, patients swap their current set of aligners for the next pair in the sequence. Most patients wear a total of 10 to 20 sets of aligners and achieve their desired results after a year (on average).
